Ynet, 3 Feb 10: The Lebanese army has uncovered an additional spy network suspected of operating on Israel’s behalf, Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anba reported Wednesday. The report, based on Lebanese security sources, claims that the network was uncovered two weeks ago and that a colonel in the Lebanese army had been arrested for allegedly heading it. Investigations revealed that the colonel, known only by his initials G.S., had access to sensitive information. Last year, 23 such networks were apparently discovered, and their members are currently on trial. Lebanese security officials said two spy networks allegedly operated by Israel have been uncovered since the beginning of 2010. . .
