3 Feb 10: Last night, a Congressman whose district includes Ft. Hood, Texas along with a Congressman from Georgia took the House floor for 50 minutes to say how fed up they are with the government’s political correctness and inability to discuss or mention radical Islam when our soldiers are being killed (both overseas and even here in the US) by Muslims (like US Army Major Nidal Hasan) who are motivated by Islamic doctrines found in the Islamic Koran, the Sunna and the Hadith.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) applauded the news that the Attorney General Eric Holder and his Justice Department Civil Rights Division will review the shooting death of a Detroit imam, Luqman Ameen Abdullah, by FBI agents on October 28 in Dearborn. House Judiciary Chairman Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) announced the Justice Department review at a news conference yesterday in Detroit sponsored by CAIR’s Michigan chapter (CAIR-MI) and attended by a coalition of civil rights groups. The news conference was scheduled following the release of autopsy results showing that Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah was shot at least 20 times, including once in the back, as well as being found handcuffed in the prone position. However, there was no mention that Abdullah’s leader is serving a life sentence in prison for killing one cop and wounding another. CAIR and other groups had called for an independent investigation of the shooting. On January 13, 2010, Rep. Conyers sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder to request that the civil rights division investigate both the October shooting and whether the FBI violated the Constitution by using informants in mosques.
“I’m not surprised that Congressman Conyers would side with his big campaign contributors in defending radical killers and terrorists,” said former NYPD detective and military intelligence officer Mike Snopes. . . . . Agents working on a counterterrorism task force in Detroit, Michigan reported that during a gun battle they shot and killed the Imam of a radical Islamic group. Agents say the gunfight began after Luqman Ameen Abdullah refused to surrender and face various criminal charges.
Abdullah is the spiritual leader of a group that is alleged to have engaged in violent activity over a period of many years, and known to be armed. According to the report obtained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police, the FBI was in the midst of arresting Abdullah and 10 of his followers on charges that included conspiracy to sell stolen goods and illegal possession and sale of firearms. According to a preliminary report obtained by NACOP, Abdullah was killed while exchanging gunfire with Federal Bureau of Investigation agents on Wednesday at a warehouse in Dearborn, a suburb of Detroit.
Abdullah was the leader of part of an group of Islamists who call themselves Ummah (“the brotherhood”), a group of mostly African-American converts to Islam that seeks to establish a separate Sharia-law governed state within the United States. The Ummah is ruled by Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, formerly known as H. Rap Brown, a 1960s radical and Black Panther who is serving a life sentence for the murder of a police officer in Georgia.
As detailed in the affidavit in support of the criminal complaint that was unsealed, Abdullah has espoused the use of violence against law enforcement, and has trained members of his group in use of firearms and martial arts in anticipation of some type of action against the government. Abdullah and other members of this group were known to carry firearms and other weapons. According to the FBI, Abdullah is also known as Christopher Thomas. The FBI report states that Abdullah regularly preached anti-government rhetoric, and that some of his followers converted to Islam while in prison. . .

Ynet, 3 Feb 10: The Lebanese army has uncovered an additional spy network suspected of operating on Israel’s behalf, Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anba reported Wednesday. The report, based on Lebanese security sources, claims that the network was uncovered two weeks ago and that a colonel in the Lebanese army had been arrested for allegedly heading it. Investigations revealed that the colonel, known only by his initials G.S., had access to sensitive information. Last year, 23 such networks were apparently discovered, and their members are currently on trial. Lebanese security officials said two spy networks allegedly operated by Israel have been uncovered since the beginning of 2010. . .
CNS, 3 Feb 10: As the trial of Dutch anti-Islamist lawmaker Geert Wilders resumes Wednesday, the crucial question will be whether the court agrees to his request to have a Muslim extremist and convicted murderer testify. Wilders, who faces charges of discrimination and incitement to hatred over his claims linking the Koran to violence, wants the court to hear from an extremist who cited the Islamic text to justify his crime.
Mohammed Bouyeri is serving a life sentence for murdering Dutch film director Theo van Gogh, who had stoked controversy with a documentary about the treatment of women under Islam. Van Gogh was stabbed and shot to death on a street in Amsterdam street in 2004. In a note left pinned to his body with a knife, Bouyeri threatened to kill another person reviled by extremist Muslims in Europe – Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a Somalia-born Dutch politician who worked with Van Gogh on his film. The lengthy note, which also warned that America, Europe and the Netherlands would be destroyed, included numerous references to the Koran.
Bouyeri, a Dutchman of Moroccan origin, had earlier penned another open letter posted on a Dutch Web site, again quoting from the Koran, threatening Wilders this time and declaring, “May Allah destroy you.” During his 2005 trial, Bouyeri carried a copy of the Koran, told the court he had acted purely in the name of his religion, and displayed no regret for the murder. By calling Bouyeri as a defense witness, Wilders aims to bolster his case that as extremist Muslims themselves use the Koran to justify their violent actions, he should not be prosecuted for essentially telling the truth. . . .

The Importance of Knowing History
Many of you were in the Intelligence Community or Military during the long Cold War and remember it clearly. Regarding our corner of this world, counterintelligence, it was a constant fight against Soviet espionage and deception operations (active measures). We were always trying to identify and arrest people who, for ideological reasons or just for the money, spied for the Soviet KGB or GRU. CI Centre’s Counterintelligence Timeline covering the 20th century is overwhelming as it shows the number of spy cases in the US. What was the Cold War and why was Soviet espionage such a threat? KGB Major General Oleg Kalugin explains the goal of the KGB and Soviet Union: to subvert all countries and bring them under the control of worldwide Communism (run from the USSR of course). Their biggest obstacle to this goal and thus number one adversary/target? The United States.
If you’ve taken our flagship counterintelligence course, 501: An Overview of Critical Counterintelligence Issues, which we have been teaching since January 1995, you discover in-depth the incredible extent of espionage directed against the US. Since 1995 to even when it was run last week, those who take the course are constantly saying it opened their eyes, that they had no idea. This is because the truths about history quickly get forgotten since they are not taught in schools. However,
The following recent documentary uncovers a part of history, which at one time was so clear, that no one should ever forget. We fought the Cold War and its spies to prevent the United States and other countries from falling under the domination of Communism. Unfortunately, it is doubtful these historical truths are being taught in schools and universities today. But it is absolutely vital that you should know this history and REMEMBER. For those of you too young to remember the Cold War or why we fought, and who were never taught this in school, be prepared to have your eyes opened.
